🚡 Cable car (purple line): Flying Over the Edge. You're dangling 13,000 ft above the city. La Paz sprawls below while your guide says: "That mountain isn't a mountain... He's a god who got tired." "That neighborhood? It invented a music genre the radio won't touch." The view is extreme. The stories are even wilder.
🥕 Local food market: Forget souvenir stalls. This is concrete, shouting, and altitude. Bowler-hat cholitas haul crates of potatoes, then sort mountains of coca leaves with hands that never shake. The air is thick with dirt, chili, and fruit brought up from the valleys. Watch people bargain loudly, laugh even louder, and throw 50-kilo sacks over one shoulder like it's nothing. This is where La Paz feeds itself.
😱 Real witches market: Deals With the Other Side. Forget crystal-shop mysticism. This is where people bet their lives on magic. Learn why your guide's uncle still blames a misread coca leaf for losing his house, what a dried llama fetus really buys you, and how to tell the difference between a real yatiri and someone who only wants your dollars.
🚡 Silver and Red cable car: Get one of the most incredible panoramic views of both cities—La Paz and El Alto. See just how different they are from each other. Fly over colorful neighborhoods, pass the General Cemetery, and when the cable car reaches the bottom... You'll realize... You survived El Alto.
